Riot Games announces League of Legends’ LCS Week 1 schedule
Here's when NA competition kicks off.
The League of Legends LCS, is set to begin on Saturday 26th January at around 22:00 GMT (14:00 PT / 17:00 ET) and continues on Sunday 27th January a couple of hours earlier at 20:00 GMT.
Riot Games confirmed the news over on the official League of Legends site, alongside its revamp of the NA LCS. No longer does the term “LCS” encompass both EU and NA leagues. The newly announced LEC covers the EU side of things, while the LCS focuses solely on NA competition. It’s got updated logos, a new site and more.
While it sports a new look, competition still remains as fierce as ever. NA LCS veterans like TSM, CLG, Liquid and C9 are all returning for another shot at the trophy, while newer squads like Golden Guardians, Clutch Gaming and Optic Gaming will all be pushing for a first chance at lifting the title.
