Midrange Demacia is a deck that plays at a moderate pace, staying on-curve and pressuring opponents regularly. The two Champions in this deck are great to have, but aren’t the focal point of the deck like so many others. Instead, they back up the gameplan of your deck and can help you secure victory in closer games.
Thanks to the fact that all your cards are from Demacia, your Allegiance bonuses will always trigger, so you don’t need to worry about that at all.

General strategy
We’ve found this deck super easy to get to grips with. Stay on curve and you’ll often win without trying – but you can always make spicier plays if things don’t go to plan.
Early game: Best case scenario: you draw your units out on curve, play them, and your foe can’t keep tempo. Fleetfeather Tracker remains one of the best 1-drops in the game, and it’ll let you get whatever blocker they have out of the way, or get buffed by something like War Chefs or Brightsteel Protector to keep ahead on board. Failing this, don’t fall behind and you’ll be in a good place. Purify can help with this, getting rid of buffs on followers, as well as Ranger’s Resolve which will be super helpful when you have a bit of a board and you want them to survive.
Mid Game: This isn’t strictly a Fiora deck, but her presence will spook your opponent out to the point where they’ll probably be willing to spend a load of resources getting rid of her. If they can’t, and you’ve got a couple Ripostes in hand, you might be able to sneak a Fiora victory in by killing 4 units with her, but it’s not the end of the world if you can’t.
Ideally, you can just keep putting units onto the board. Grizzled Ranger has Scout which allows you to attack twice in a turn, as well as summoning a Loyal Badgerbear upon death to carry out that extra attack. With all this tempo, you ideally have a few units on board, all of which can be buffed by Vanguard Bannerman. The fact that this deck is 100% Demacia means you’ll always get that +1/+1 for all your other units, which if combined with Ranger’s Resolve giving them all Tough can make your board super irritating to deal with. Just keep attacking when you can – you may even be able to upgrade Garen and get more attacks off.
Late Game: Late on in the game, your foe should be low on Nexus health. Keep the pressure up – but don’t get greedy and make sure you block when necessary. Cithria the Bold is a fantastic surprise finisher that many opponents haven’t been able to deal with for us. She gives all your other units +1/+1 and Fearsome when attacking, meaning they can’t be blocked by enemies with 2 or less Power. A whole board of Fearsome units is pretty scary, and is a great finisher if necessary. You have that one final gambit too – Unyielding Spirit. This makes one of your units unable to die or take damage, so you can always sneak out a Fiora victory late on if necessary.

Demacia Midrange Mulligan guide
These are the cards you’ll want to make the best possible start with Midrange Demacia:
- 1. Fleetfeather Tracker – one of the best 1-drops in the game.
- 2. War Chefs – a great followup to the above, you’ll often be able to deal big damage with its Support ability.
- 3. Brightsteel Protector – worth holding onto both to stay on curve and to protect your existing units for future buffs.
Midrange Demacia tips, combos and synergies
Here’s a quick overview of a few things you might want to watch out for when you’re playing this deck.
– Single Combat damages both your unit and your opponent’s. Fiora has to survive to win the game, so be careful and add Barrier to her if necessary.
– Purify doesn’t work on Champions, so don’t expect to make the enemy Braum useless.
– Grizzled Ranger’s Scout ability only works when only Scout units attack first, so don’t accidentally chuck another unit on the front line until after.
– Vanguard Bannerman grants all allies +1/+1 apart from himself.
– Garen can upgrade by blocking as well as attacking – as long as he deals damage.
– Swiftwing Lancer’s Challenger ability lets it get enemy units out of the way for your other troops to attack the Nexus.
– Use Ranger’s Resolve when you need your units to survive combat for a round. Tough doesn’t stick around from this spell, so choose the use of this spell wisely.
